{ Personal Post } | My Little Girl’s Nursery

It’s still hard for me to believe I’m going to be a mom! So many amazing things happened in my life this past year and I couldn’t be more grateful for each and every one of them! As many of you know, I got married this summer (see my blog post about that here: http://christina-mae-photography.com/?p=2290), and now my husband and I are going to embark on the greatest adventure of our life….becoming parents! I couldn’t have asked for a better man to do life with and to have as the father to my children. God has truly blessed me! And when we found out we were having a little girl, I have to be honest….my husband and I were both shocked. We were convinced we were having a boy! From cravings to the Chinese calendar, they all pointed to a boy! Now I know to never use the internet as a compass when it comes to gender prediction 🙂 I’m sure God was laughing at us when he saw the shock on our faces 😉 Nevertheless, we were SO excited to have a healthy baby, no matter what the gender! So, as soon as we found out the gender, I immediately took to Pinterest! I spent months creating an inspiration board for what I wanted our daughter’s room to look like. I changed my mind over and over (my husband can attest to this because it drove him nuts 😉 ) and finally, after finalizing the finishing touches, I am IN LOVE with how it turned out! It’s absolutely perfect, just like my daugher is. And we are SO excited to meet her in just a few short weeks! So, check it out….I hope you love the nursery as much as we do! 🙂

My husband painted the white frames that are above her crib and I painted the gold words in the middle frame. It’s hard to see what’s in the other 2 frames, but they are lace hearts that I cut out and glued to some simple cardstock. I love how they turned out!

I found all of the frames at Marshalls, so I got a great deal on them! All of the prints were handmade by me and I had them printed. A little special touch that turned out better than I expected!

And the cute piggy bank…well, that was made by a dear friend. So, it’s extra special 🙂

The frame on the right was actually one we used at our wedding! My husband painted it white and attached some chicken wire to the back. Simple and easy, and oh-so-cute! 🙂

The lamb rocker was given to us by another dear friend and it ended up matching her room perfectly! It was the perfect touch to such a sweet room!

And the basket….well, it’s filled with toys, toys, and more toys! 🙂
